Manaslu Circuit Trek Trip Information

Manaslu Circuit Trek Nepal

The Manaslu Circuit Trek is one of Nepal’s most remarkable high-altitude trekking adventures. Before the mid-20th century, the region was isolated entirely due to its remote location and cultural significance. The circuit was discovered when interest in the area grew after a Japanese team successfully summited Mount Manaslu in 1956. Trekking enthusiasts gradually mapped out the circuit trek encircling Mount Manaslu. Later, it was opened to foreign trekkers in 1991 as part of a controlled trekking area. To complete this adventure, you will require a special permit. The trek is becoming more prevalent among trekkers, and the Larkya La has been the major highlight of the entire Manaslu Circuit journey.

Pungyen Gompa

Pungyen Gompa is near Samagaun. It is the hidden gem you will find while trekking the Manaslu Circuit Trek. This is one of the oldest and largest monasteries, offering spiritual and natural beauty. Overlooking the stunning Manaslu Glacier, the monastery is deeply significant to the local Tibetan and Sherpa communities.

The monastery’s name was kept from Phun Gyen, which means three peaks, referring to the three major peaks surrounding the area. The place has been serving as a significant Buddhist hub for ritual practices. Manu monks also use it for meditation. During a short visit, you can observe daily prayers and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. You can get there on a short 3 to 4-hour hike from Samagaun.

Most people visit this place, as this is the perfect place to stop by and utilize your first acclimatization day. You will eventually reach the monastery by making the way through meadows, alpine forests, and glacial streams. It sits at an altitude of around 4,000 meters. Upon reaching there, you can immerse yourself in this peaceful.

Larkya La Pass

Larkya La Pass is a high mountain pass located on the Manaslu Circuit Trek in Nepal. Standing at an altitude of 5,106 meters, this pass is one of the highest passes in the Himalayas. It connects the Budhi Gandaki and the Marshyandi Valley. Upon reaching there, you will witness the panoramic views of the surrounding peaks.

However, the difficulty level of Larkya La Pass is high due to the steep climb, thin air, and challenging weather conditions. To complete this adventure, you need to have good endurance and strength as you climb steep ascents and walk for long hours. You will also face strong winds, freezing temperatures, and rocky paths, which increases the challenge.

At such a high altitude, altitude sickness is a real danger, and you can feel symptoms like headaches, dizziness, and nausea can occur. You should not ignore it, as altitude sickness can become severe. To protect yourself, you need to acclimatize properly by taking rest days, walking slowly, and staying hydrated. Spending extra time at higher camps, such as Samagaun or Samdo, helps your body adjust to the altitude.

Why Take the Manaslu Circuit Trek?

Culture and Festivals of the Manaslu Region

The Manaslu Circuit Trek gives you an immersive experience in the Tibetan-influenced culture of the region. It offers you a glimpse into the unique lifestyle of the Gurung and Sherpa people. While trekking through villages like Samagaon and Lho, you will witness ancient monasteries and chortens. Timing the trek correctly may also allow you to witness local festivals such as Losar the Tibetan New Year, adding color and traditions to your trek.

Majestic Snow-Capped Mountain Views

Along the Manaslu Circuit, you will be surrounded by stunning mountain views. Besides Mount Manaslu (8,163 meters), you will also see peaks like Himalchuli, Ngadi Chuli, and Ganesh Himal. As you trek, these towering snow-capped mountains create a dramatic backdrop, offering breathtaking panoramas from many points on the trail. On clear days, the views seem endless, stretching across the Himalayas.

Landscape and Scenery

The topography viewed in Manaslu Circuit keeps changing. You will trek with green forests, terraced fields, and river valleys. The increasing altitude makes the scenery swing toward being rugged and dramatic. Glacial lakes, alpine meadows, and snow-covered ridges will come your way. Every step will introduce you to a new view, giving you a complete Himalayan experience.

Manaslu Conservation Area

A vast variety of flora and fauna can be seen in Manaslu Conservation. You will walk through forests filled with rhododendron, pine, and oak. It is a haven for wildlife, where you might spot Himalayan blue sheep, musk deer, or even the elusive snow leopard. If you are a bird watcher, you may spot a Himalayan griffon and a golden eagle. Given that the conservation area ensures this natural environment is maintained, the trek is scenic yet ecologically important.

Remote Location

One of the biggest attractions of the Manaslu Circuit Trek is its remote location. This region is far less traveled than popular treks like Everest or Annapurna. The landscape is untouched, and the region’s tranquility enables a peaceful trekking experience. You will pass through remote villages, interact with local people, and get a taste of life far removed from the busy tourist trails. The authenticity combined with remoteness dramatically appeals to the adventure-seeker who wants to avoid crowds.

Off-the-Beaten Trekking Trail

The Manaslu Circuit is known for its off-the-beaten-path trekking experience. Unlike other commercial trekking routes, this route includes areas that are still undeveloped and wild. The villages you pass through still maintain their traditional ways of life, with fewer trekkers around. The trail can sometimes be pretty rugged and not very fine, but that’s the added adventure. Manaslu Circuit would be an ideal choice for solitude, natural beauty, and authenticity in a trek.

Meals & Drinks Around the Manaslu Circuit Trek

Meals along the Manaslu Circuit Trek primarily consist of simple, locally sourced ingredients due to the remoteness of the area. The most common meal you will find is Dal Bhat, a traditional Nepali dish made up of rice, lentil soup, and vegetable curry. In addition to Dal Bhat, you can enjoy noodles, potatoes, eggs, and Tibetan bread, with a few tea houses also offering items like momos or fried rice. However, as you ascend to higher altitudes, the variety of food decreases, and prices increase.

During the off-season, when tea houses may close due to weather conditions, food sources can become scarce. Therefore, it is crucial to plan before your journey starts. Drinking water is available throughout the trek. But it is essential to purify it before consumption. Bottled water is often sold in lower regions but becomes expensive and less available at higher altitudes.

You should carry water purification tablets or a portable filter. It ensures you have access to safe drinking water. You will feel food scarcity and limited options in remote areas, especially in higher altitudes or during the off-season. Thus, carrying energy bars, nuts, and other lightweight snacks is recommended to keep you energized on the trek.

Accommodation Around Manaslu Circuit Trek

The accommodation along the Manaslu Circuit Trek consists mostly of basic tea houses. They offer simple amenities such as a bed, blanket, and shared dining area. Teahouses are typically budget-friendly, catering to trekkers looking for comfort without luxury. While the tea houses in lower altitudes might provide slightly better facilities, as you climb higher, the accommodations become more basic due to the remoteness of the region.

Some tea houses offer private rooms, but these may have thin walls and minimal insulation. So, it is advisable to carry a good-quality sleeping bag, especially during colder months. In terms of amenities, running water is available in most tea houses. But in higher altitudes, it may only be available in the form of cold water.

Similarly, hot showers, if available, are usually provided at an extra cost, and solar-powered electricity is often used. Charging electronic devices also comes with additional charges, especially in more remote areas where electricity is scarce. Most tea houses have squat toilets, though some may offer sit-down toilets, depending on the location. You should remember that facilities get more basic as you gain altitude.

Telephone and Wi-Fi Options Along the trek

Along the Manaslu Circuit Trek, you will find limited telephone service in the lower villages. Local Ncell and Nepal Telecom networks are available in some places. However, the signal can be weak or nonexistent as you trek higher into remote areas. It is best to inform your family or friends about this in advance and keep them updated whenever you have access to the network. For emergencies, you might also consider carrying a satellite phone, as they provide reliable communication even in remote regions where regular networks fail.

Wi-Fi is available in some tea houses and lodges along the trek, but it can be slow and unreliable, especially at higher altitudes. In villages like Soti Khola, Jagat, and Samagaon, you may find Wi-Fi services, often for an additional fee. However, the further you go, the more limited the connectivity becomes. It is a good idea to download offline maps and important information before you start your trek, as you won’t always be able to rely on Wi-Fi for communication or navigation.

Best Season for Manaslu Circuit Trek

Spring (March to May)

Spring starts in March and lasts until May. It is considered to be one of the best seasons for trekking to the Manaslu Circuit. The stable and mild temperatures and clear skies give you the best trekking experience and stunning mountain views. The average daytime temperatures range from 10°C to 15°C (50°F to 59°F) at lower elevations, while higher up, it can drop to -6°C to -2°C (21°F to 28°F). Also, rhododendrons and other wildflowers bloom this season, adding vibrant color to landscapes. However, in the best season, the trail can be quite crowded.

Autumn (September to November)

Autumn is another perfect season for you to take an adventure in the Himalayas. The daytime averages range between 10°C to 18°C (50°F to 64°F) at lower altitudes and colder at -6°C to -4°C (21°F to 25°F) in the high regions. Like spring, this season also offers you mild temperatures and clear skies. However, there is a slight chance of getting rainfall. Also, if you are trekking during the Autumn season, you will get a proper chance to witness the two major festivals of Nepal, Dashain and Tihar. This season not only offers you natural beauty but also the best time to experience the culture and traditions of Nepal.

Monsoon (June to August)

Trekking during the monsoon season is highly discouraged due to frequent heavy rainfall. The trails become slippery and muddy, making trekking both difficult and dangerous. The average daytime temperature ranges from 15°C to 25°C (59°F to 77°F), but the constant rain causes landslides, blocks paths, and often obscures mountain views with thick clouds. Additionally, the remoteness of the trek makes it difficult to access accommodation and services, as many tea houses and lodges remain closed during this season.

Winter (December to February)

The winter season presents another challenge for trekkers. Temperatures during the day average around -2°C to -10°C (28°F to 14°F), and it can drop to -15°C (5°F) or lower at higher elevations. Heavy snowfall covers the trails, making them difficult to navigate. The freezing conditions make trekking harder, and many lodges and tea houses close during this period due to the cold weather. With fewer available services, it is difficult to find reliable food and accommodation, adding to the difficulty of trekking in winter.

Manaslu Circuit Trek Length

The Manaslu Circuit Trek is about 180 kilometers (110 miles) long. With this trekking trail, you will pass through several remote villages and forests, along with beautiful mountain views. The trek is not technical, meaning no climbing gear is needed. However, it can be hard because some parts are rocky and uneven. Most days, you will walk for about 6 to 7 hours, and some sections will feel very steep and tiring.

The highest point of the trek is Larkya La Pass, at 5,106 meters. This part of the trek is challenging because of the altitude. In addition, the slippery paths and steep climbs make your ascending journey more challenging. You will need to go slowly to avoid altitude sickness. As you reach the top, the views are mesmerizing, with mountains like Manaslu and Himal Chuli in sight. To prepare for this, you should take rest days to help your body adjust to the high altitude.

Throughout your journey to Manaslu Circuit Trek, you will meet other trekkers, local people, and yaks. You will get a well-marked trail, but carrying a trekking pole can help, especially on rocky paths. It is important to have the right gear for walking long days. Even though the trek is difficult, it is safe if you are careful. To have the best experience in this region, you should have proper planning and preparation.

Necessary Permits For Manaslu Circuit Trek

Several permits and documents are required to trek the Manaslu Circuit. As the trail passes through some restricted areas, you will need three main permits: the Manaslu Restricted Area Permit (RAP), the Annapurna Conservation Area Permit (ACAP), and the Manaslu Conservation Area Permit (MCAP). Getting all these permits ensures you have legal permission to trek in the Manaslu region.

Manaslu Restricted Area Permit (RAP)

As the trek passes through some of the restricted areas in the Manaslu region, such as Manaslu Conservation Area, Larkya La Pass, Bimthang, Samdo, and Dharmashala, getting these permits is essential. The permits aim to protect local customs and biodiversity while promoting the safety of trekkers. To acquire the RAP, you must engage a registered trekking agency in Nepal, submit necessary documents like a valid passport and photographs, pay the required fees, and then receive the permit, which must be carried out during the trek.

Nationals Cost
SAARC and Other Countries September to November: USD 100 for the first seven days and USD 15 for each additional day

December to August: USD 75 for the first seven days and USD 10 for each additional day.

Annapurna Conservation Area Permit (ACAP)

This is another essential permit for you if you plan to go on the Manaslu trek. The trekking trail passes within the Annapurna Conservation area; thus, to enter those sections, you should get the ACAP permit. It helps to protect the rich biodiversity and cultural heritage. The permit fees collected from trekkers contribute to environmental preservation efforts and the maintenance of trekking trails and facilities. To obtain the ACAP, trekkers can apply at the Nepal Tourism Board office in Kathmandu or Pokhara.

Nationals Cost
SAARC NPR 1000 per person
Other countries NPR 3000 per person

Manaslu Trek Transportation Option

When planning your trek to Manaslu, you have several transportation options to consider. The starting point for most treks is Soti Khola, which you can reach by road from Kathmandu. Here’s a breakdown of your transportation options:

1. Jeep Transportation

For convenience and fast travel, there is jeep transportation. That takes you from Kathmandu to Soti Khola, which many trekkers usually prefer. While going by it, or going, the travel would be relaxing and enjoyable against the backdrop of beautiful sceneries without the hassle of navigating public transport. The scenery en route is spectacular, with emerald hills, terraced fields, and rivers.

  • Cost: NPR 2,500 to NPR 3,000 per person.
  • Travel Time: About 6 to 8 hours.

2. Bus Transportation

These are relatively affordable, especially for those on a tighter budget. Now, it may not be as comfy as it would have been in a jeep, but traveling with locals is one heck of an experience. The bus route follows winding roads and several stopping points, after which you get to see the region’s rural landscape and everyday life. While this might take a little more time, the views of terraced fields and waterfalls will make up for that.

  • Cost: NPR 1,000 to NPR 1,500 per person.
  • Travel Time: Approximately 8 to 10 hours.

3. Private Vehicle

For the ultimate comfort and convenience, consider hiring a private vehicle. This option allows for flexibility in your travel schedule and stops along the route. You can stop wherever you want and whenever you wish to see beautiful moments or stroll around villages. It is an exciting option if you are traveling in a group.

  • Cost: NPR 15,000 to NPR 20,000 for the whole vehicle.
  • Travel Time: Similar to jeep transportation, it lasts 6 to 8 hours, depending on the stops.

Returning to Kathmandu

For your return trip, you can choose any of the transportation options. The cost and experience will remain similar, allowing you to enjoy the views once more as you return to Kathmandu. With a proper choice of transport, one may raise the level of their trekking experience and make the tour to the Manaslu area far more memorable.

Difficulty Level of the Manaslu Circuit Trek

The Manaslu Circuit Trek is considered a challenging and strenuous trek. Some challenges include remote locations, high altitudes, rugged terrain, and longer days. It is suitable for experienced trekkers or those in good physical condition who are prepared for long days of walking, steep ascents, and unpredictable weather conditions. While rewarding with its stunning landscapes, diverse cultures, and panoramic mountain views, the Manaslu Circuit is not for the faint of heart.

Altitude Sickness

One of the main challenges of the Manaslu Circuit Trek is altitude sickness. The risk of developing altitude-related illnesses increases as the trek climbs above 3,000 meters. You can feel symptoms such as headaches, dizziness, nausea, and shortness of breath can occur, especially as you approach higher points like Larkya La Pass. Thus, it is necessary for you to take the necessary precautions. You should walk at a slow pace, stay hydrated, and allow time for proper acclimatization. In severe cases, descending to a lower altitude may be necessary to prevent further complications.

The Remoteness of the Trek

The Manaslu Circuit is one of the more remote trekking routes in Nepal. The trail passes through less populated areas with limited infrastructure. The remoteness means that you need to be well-prepared with supplies and plans, as support is minimal along the way. Due to the isolated nature of the trek, there are fewer tea houses and lodges compared to more popular routes like the Annapurna or Everest regions. During the off-season, many of these accommodations close, making finding proper shelter and food harder.

Length and Long Distance of the Trek

The Manaslu Circuit Trek covers approximately 180 kilometers, which takes 14 days to complete. The trek involves long walking hours, often 6 to 8 hours daily. Some days are particularly strenuous, especially when crossing high-altitude passes. The trek is also physically demanding due to the constant elevation gain, steep inclines, and rocky terrain. You need adequate preparation, including physical training and stamina-building exercises, to endure long days on foot.

How do you prepare for the Manaslu Circuit Trek?

Physical Preparation

Preparing your body is crucial for the Manaslu Circuit Trek. You should begin a fitness regimen at least a few months before your trek. Do some cardiovascular exercises, such as running or cycling, to keep your stamina higher. Strength training, particularly for your legs and core, will help you tackle the hilly terrain. You can also aim to hike at least once a week, gradually increasing the distance and elevation to prepare your body for the challenges ahead.

Mental Preparation

Trekking in the Himalayas can be as demanding on the mental frontier as it can get on the physical frontier. You should know the itinerary and difficulties of your trek well. Knowledge of what to expect eases anxieties. Meditation or yoga are treatments that you might want to try for an increase in mental strength. Just close your eyes and visualize yourself reaching the end of the trek-it adds to confidence. And above all, a positive attitude improves much about trekking.

Acclimatization

Acclimatization is vital on the Manaslu Circuit to avoid altitude sickness and ensure a successful trek. Your itinerary should include rest days, particularly at higher altitudes such as Samagaun (3,530 meters). This allows your body to adjust to the thinner air. These rest days help you adapt to increasing altitude. Skipping acclimatization days can significantly increase the risk of altitude sickness and may lead to the trek being cut short.

Gear and Packing

Choosing the right gear is essential for a successful trek. Invest in good-quality trekking shoes that are comfortable and broken in before your trip. Layered clothing is vital for managing temperature changes. Don’t forget essentials like a sleeping bag rated for cold weather, trekking poles, and a first-aid kit. Pack light but include necessary items such as snacks, water purification tablets, and a power bank for your devices.

Environmental Awareness

As you prepare for your trek, it’s important to consider the environment. The Manaslu region is home to unique ecosystems and wildlife. Respect local customs and minimize your environmental impact by following the Leave No Trace principles. Carry out all trash and be mindful of your water usage. You should know your role in protecting the environment. This can increase your appreciation of and connection with nature and give meaning to your trek.

Beginners Tips For Manaslu Circuit Trek

The Manaslu Circuit Trek is an adventurous and rewarding journey. You will pass through remote villages, stunning landscapes, and the challenging Larkya La Pass. While it is less crowded than other popular treks, it is still demanding and requires preparation, especially for beginners. Here are some essential tips to ensure a safe and enjoyable trek:

  • Start Training Early: Begin physical preparation at least a few months before the trek, focusing on cardio, leg strength, and endurance.
  • Acclimatization is Key: Ensure that your itinerary includes proper acclimatization days, especially in higher altitudes like Namrung and Samagaun.
  • Pack Wisely: Bring essential gear such as layers for warmth, a good quality sleeping bag, trekking poles, and sturdy boots. Don’t overpack to avoid carrying unnecessary weight.
  • Hire a Guide and Porter: Since the Manaslu region is remote and requires a restricted area permit, hiring a guide is mandatory, and a porter can help ease the physical strain.
  • Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated and help with altitude sickness prevention.
  • Be Prepared for Remote Conditions: The trek is in a remote area with fewer amenities, so carry enough snacks a first-aid kit, and be mentally prepared for basic accommodations.
  • Respect Local Culture: The trek passes through traditional Tibetan Buddhist villages, so respect local customs, dress modestly, and be mindful of cultural differences.
  • Check Weather Conditions: The best time to trek is in spring (March-May) and autumn (September-November), but always check the weather forecast to avoid harsh conditions.
  • Go at Your Own Pace: Don’t rush the trek. It’s important to walk at a comfortable pace to avoid exhaustion and better acclimate to the altitude.
  • Carry Cash: ATMs are not available on the trail, so ensure you carry enough cash for meals, accommodation, and tips for your guide and porter.

Travel Insurance

Getting travel insurance is not mandatory, but it is highly recommended if you are trekking to Manaslu Circuit. The challenging nature of the trek, with high altitude, remote trails, and unpredictable weather, poses risks that can be mitigated by having proper coverage. While medical facilities are limited in the area, having travel insurance that includes medical emergencies ensures you receive the necessary care without worrying about costs.

Additionally, your travel insurance should cover emergency evacuations. It includes helicopter rescues in case of severe altitude sickness, injury, or other emergencies. Considering the remoteness of the Manaslu region, quick evacuation may be necessary in life-threatening situations. Having insurance provides peace of mind as you know that you are covered for unexpected incidents. This allows you to focus fully on the trek without concerns about potential risks.

Professionalism and fast friendship.

I have now hiked with Sappa and his company twice and honestly I can't imagine Nepal without him. My friends and I often have short timeframes to organise these trips and the peace of mind just leaving everything with Sappa and knowing it will be perfectly arranged is priceless. From landing at the airport to hugs good-bye nothing was forgotten. Great trek choice, hotels, food, company and local information, we actually often found many other travellers coming to Sappa for help whenever they had issues. Pure professionalism and a wonderful person to boot! I spent days chatting to Sappa as we wandered Nepal and he is always happy to give you as much or title information as you'd like. I learnt so much about the history, culture and future of the country. As a final note, on my first trip to Nepal I became extremely sick whilst up on the mountain due to a personal slip-up regarding the water and I honestly am not sure what I would have done had Sappa not been there. Considering I was running a fever, could barely stand and had no way of helping myself, it could have ended badly. How he moved mountains to get me off the hill through a network of jeeps and small camps whilst at the same time organising my immediate admittance to a wonderful clinic in Pokhara I will never know. The fact that I was hiking back up the mountain with him in a few days was just shy of a miracle and I'm sure in almost anyone else care my trip would have been brought to a swift end. Thankyou mate, we all care for you deeply.

Trek to Annapurna Base Camp

We received a very good treatment from Sappa and the team since day 1! He helped us with the trip schedule and gave us a good price for our pack, it is great to plan with Nepal Base Camps since the pack will cover all the expenses within the trek! (except for some personal purchases like beers, etc.). Our guide, Jayram was fantastic, he helped us discover the real Nepal as he talked to us about the culture of the region, more than a guide he ended up being our friend and made us feel almos like locals!! If you are looking for the best experience, Nepal Basecamp Treks is the way to go!

Twenty days in Nepal with Sapa

Sappa managed for us almost all of our trip to Nepal - from historical tours of Kathmandu to trek around Manaslu. Everything was prepared very well and what we agreed on was always firm. Sappa is a very nice guy and we can recommend it to everyone.

I like the way they arranged us with high privacy and not to mix with other group as we are travelled in dual pax. They are very professional and experienced where they could arrange based on our need and capabilities. Personally quite like our tour guide, Mr Suraj Lama where he is really patient, trustable, friendly and down to earth person. Would definitely recommend them to our friend. Mayagarchu ❤️

I have trekked Everest base camp and Annapurna base camp in 2004 and Manaslu Circuit Trek in 2014 with our college friends organized by Sappa Lama our best mountain guide in Nepal Himalaya. Amazing Family Adventure in Nepal

In October 2015 I went to Nepal for the second time. This time I decided to take my family along, because my previous experience with Sappa and his team was so great, that I had no worries about taking my children to Himalayas. We spent almost 4 wonderful weeks of travelling, hiking and gaining cultural experience. My children loved Nepal, learned a lot about this wonderful country. I can highly recommend a family trip to everybody who is at least a bit fit and open-minded, it is a lifelong experience! We are all definitely coming back.

Exceptional Family Treks with Sappa and Nepal Base Camp Treks

In October 2014, 2015 I completed another wonderful family trek in Nepal to Langtang and Gosainkund lakes thanks to Sappa and his company “Nepal Base Camp Treks”. I first met Sappa in 2008 on a family Gokyo Lakes Trek and EBC Trek. At that time, I was greatly impressed by the highly professional approach he took to mountain guiding. I’m very happy to report that in 2014 nothing has changed. Sappa continues to maintain an exceptionally high standard of service and this together with his warm, generous and engaging personality ensured everyone in our party had an amazing time during their visit to Nepal. We were treated to fantastic traditional Nepalese food and cultural performances at welcoming and farewell dinners in Kathmandu; expertly and safely guided over 14 days of trekking through an incredibly beautiful landscape; and provided with detailed and knowledgeable commentary during our tours of all the main sites around Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Patan. I’m very happy to report that the organisation of our transport, sightseeing, accommodation and trekking arrangements was first rate and that over three weeks everything ran very smoothly indeed. Overall, Sappa‘s vast guiding experience and mountain knowledge ensured that our itinerary was structured in such a way that it provided us with a good deal of flexibility and ample time to absorb the magnificent mountain views while trekking, as well as not being rushed on our tours of Kathmandu and surrounds. On this trip, a few in our party were first time trekkers. What a fantastic introduction to trekking in the Nepal Himalaya they received thanks to the great care and attention to every little detail provided by Sappa and his fabulous support crew Manoj, Shankar and Suraj. Thank you Sappa, for also keeping up the tradition of supplying us with bananas and chocolate bars. I must also mention that the pomegranate seeds the crew provided to us on our way to Langtang was an unexpected but greatly appreciated treat. Importantly, from a safety aspect, we were more than pleased to find that Nepal Base Camp Treks used modern four wheel drive vehicles to take us to the start of our trek in Syabrubesi and also for the return journey from Dhunche. We were also very impressed to observe that Sappa and his company take very good care of their support crews. If you are planning to visit Nepal, I have no hesitation in recommending Sappa and his company “Nepal Base Camp Treks” for trouble free trekking and touring. You will not be disappointed. I can’t wait for my next trek with Sappa, which will be around Manaslu trek.
