We begin our journey with a morning drive from Kathmandu on the main road, crossing the Trisuli River to reach Dhading Besi, a hill town. From there, we continue on a rough dirt road to Arughat Bazaar. Once there, you’ll stay in a local lodge and have the afternoon free to explore the village significantly damaged by the earthquakes in April and May 2015.

Our first day of trekking starts on a gradual trail leading to Arkhet village, located at 1,200 m. This pleasant farm village offers a glimpse of local life. We then cross the Buri Gandaki River, which originates from the Manaslu and Ganesh Himal glaciers. The trail leads to the Dhading area, a short uphill walk to Manbu village. Along the way, you’ll pasyou’llugh Bahun Gaon and enjoy a climb to Manbu, where you’ll stayou’llnight. The town provides stunning views of Himal Chuli and Boudha Himal.

The day’s trek provides a blend of cultural encounters and natural beauty, setting the tone for the days ahead.

From Somdang, we walk on the main road for a while before a short climb to the next village, Gatlang, where we stay overnight. Gatlang offers home stay accommodations, providing an authentic cultural experience.

Our walk involves a gradual uphill climb, passing several farm villages before reaching Chilime. This village is popular for its new hydro project, which supplies electricity to Langtang, Ganesh villages, and even Kathmandu city. After lunch, explore the local villages and enjoy Ganesh Himal and Langtang Himal views.

Trekking Route

The Ganesh Himal trekking route typically starts from Syabrubesi, a village north of Kathmandu, and follows a scenic path through diverse landscapes. We eventually reach Pansang-la or Bhanjyang, where breathtaking panoramas of snow-clad peaks await.

Finally, this marvelous adventure, Ganesh Himal Trekking, concludes at a roadhead near the Langtang area at Syabrubesi. The trek ends after exploring charming Tamang villages such as Somdang and Gatlang. From there, we will take an interesting off-road ride back to Kathmandu. In 10 days, we will finally complete a 150-kilometer round-trip trek towards Ganesh Himal.

Best Season For Ganesh Himal Base Camp Trek Nepal

This season is ideal for trekking as the weather is mild and stable. The weather is mild and stable in spring, with blooming rhododendrons adding vibrant colors to the landscapes.
