We will begin our trek to Helambu from Sundarijal, just an hour’s drive from Kathmandu. After an easy hour of walking, we will enter Shivapuri National Park, surrounded by lush green hills, creating a calm and refreshing atmosphere. Continuing, we will reach Chispani.
From Chispani, we will enjoy stunning views of snow-capped peaks like Dorje Lakpa, Gauri Shankar, and Langtang Lirung. The trail also takes us through Langtang National Park. Here, we can spot rare wildlife such as red pandas, Himalayan Thar, and Himalayan Black Bears. Along the way, we will also pass Buddhist temples, mani walls, and small villages.
Our trek continues to Thadepati, the highest point at 3,650 meters, passing terraced rice fields, bamboo forests, and waterfalls. We will visit Sherpa villages like Kutumsang and Gul Bhanjyang before descending to Melamchi Gaun. Crossing Melamchi Khola, we will reach Tarke Gyang. Finally, passing through Chumik, Ghangyul, and Sermathang, we will conclude our journey back to Kathmandu near Melamchi Pul Bazar.
