Professionalism and fast friendship.

I have now hiked with Sappa and his company twice and honestly I can't imagine Nepal without him. My friends and I often have short timeframes to organise these trips and the peace of mind just leaving everything with Sappa and knowing it will be perfectly arranged is priceless. From landing at the airport to hugs good-bye nothing was forgotten. Great trek choice, hotels, food, company and local information, we actually often found many other travellers coming to Sappa for help whenever they had issues. Pure professionalism and a wonderful person to boot! I spent days chatting to Sappa as we wandered Nepal and he is always happy to give you as much or title information as you'd like. I learnt so much about the history, culture and future of the country. As a final note, on my first trip to Nepal I became extremely sick whilst up on the mountain due to a personal slip-up regarding the water and I honestly am not sure what I would have done had Sappa not been there. Considering I was running a fever, could barely stand and had no way of helping myself, it could have ended badly. How he moved mountains to get me off the hill through a network of jeeps and small camps whilst at the same time organising my immediate admittance to a wonderful clinic in Pokhara I will never know. The fact that I was hiking back up the mountain with him in a few days was just shy of a miracle and I'm sure in almost anyone else care my trip would have been brought to a swift end. Thankyou mate, we all care for you deeply.

Unforgettable Langtang Trek with Sappa

We took an 11-day trekking trip with Sappa and a porter in the Langtang and Helambu region in Mai 2011. We entered Langtang valley at Syabrubesi, trekked up to Kyanjin Gompa and continued to Helambu via Gosaikunda lake and the Lauribina La pass. The trek was wonderful. It leads through different vegetation zones with rich an colourful flora and fauna and amazing Himalaya mountain views. It also offered a deep insight into the Tamang culture and the customs, life and tradditions of Nepalese, Tibetan and Tamang people. Sappa is a very experienced guide who knows the region very well. He did a great job at scheduling the daily treks and adapting the length and speed of trekking to our personal needs and desires. In particular, he was a good consultant regarding any issues of altitude sickness. Sappa handled all issues with the lodges, local government officials, bus and taxi drivers with great care. He answered all our questions regarding names of mountain tops, nature and other details of the area with great excitment. It was a pleasure to listen to Sappa’s anecdotes on life, religion, politics and nature of Nepal and Nepalese people. Sappa’s story-telling and humour has made the trek an unforgettable experience. We highly recommend Sappa as understanding, experienced, funny and sympathetic guide. After eleven days in the remoteness of the Himalaya our guide has become a friends.

Sappa: The Ultimate Guide in Nepal
