After breakfast, you will join a full-day program at the church. We can arrange any type of program based on your and your team’s schedule. This village is home to many believers who hunger for the Word of God.

 Historical Record of Tawal

In 2002, Tawal experienced a significant spiritual awakening that would forever change the lives of 33 young individuals. During this time, a sister named Yo Maya and a brother named Som felt a divine calling to travel to Tawal and organize a gospel revival meeting. Moved by the Holy Spirit, they faithfully responded to this call, leading to a remarkable event where 33 young men and women from Tawal chose to embrace Christianity as they were drawn closer to God.

However, their newfound faith was met with severe challenges. Many of these young believers faced intense persecution, with Lako Lama enduring particularly harsh trials due to his prominent Buddhist family background.

Despite these difficulties, the influence of these 33 individuals began to spread across various regions of Nepal. Today, many of them serve as evangelists, pastors, and trainers, passionately sharing the message of Christ. Their extraordinary transformation stands as a powerful testament to God’s work through those who come from even the most remote parts of Nepal.

Tawal is a unique village where the population is equally divided between Buddhists and Christians. The villagers predominantly follow Tamang cultural practices, which are deeply rooted in their daily lives. Despite the religious diversity, there is a strong sense of community in Tawal. The local Christian and Buddhist communities coexist peacefully, contributing to social works and cultural activities together.

Christianity has a significant presence in Tawal, with an established Christian community and local church. The Gospel was first introduced to Tawal about 30 years ago by believers from Kutal village, leading to a flourishing Christian community today. Local Christian leaders play an active role in both the spiritual and social life of the village.

Amazing Family Adventure in Nepal

In October 2015 I went to Nepal for the second time. This time I decided to take my family along, because my previous experience with Sappa and his team was so great, that I had no worries about taking my children to Himalayas. We spent almost 4 wonderful weeks of travelling, hiking and gaining cultural experience. My children loved Nepal, learned a lot about this wonderful country. I can highly recommend a family trip to everybody who is at least a bit fit and open-minded, it is a lifelong experience! We are all definitely coming back.
