  • Ensure proper acclimatization and descend to a lower altitude for sleeping.

Tamang Heritage Trail Trek Travel Insurance

The Tamang Heritage Trail Trek is considered quite challenging and goes through remote regions of Nepal. So, you need to have travel insurance. Getting the right travel insurance is important in case something goes wrong. Travel insurance is one of the most important documents when hiking in Nepal’s high mountains. You must navigate landslides, steep ascents and descents, and busy trails.

If you face any issues while trekking in these conditions. The insurance will be helpful. You can avoid paying a large amount all at once, so you must get proper insurance coverage. This insurance should cover all costs related to rescue and evacuation from high peaks. Make sure your insurance policy covers medical expenses, helicopter emergency evacuation, and altitudes of at least 5,000 meters.

Physical Condition & Experience Requirements

The Tamang Heritage Trail Trek in Nepal is quite difficult to complete. It requires dedication because you are about to climb to a height of about 3,165 meters at Nagthali Ghyang. Make the most of your holiday by planning it as a group. Even though it may appear unnecessary, a guide can help you stay secure while traveling. They will take care of the documentation. It is especially recommended if this is your group’s first time. The right exercise can help with acclimatization and physical fitness. Despite having a lower overall elevation than other treks, altitude sickness is still a concern.

Exercising before trekking is usually a good idea. The stress of the Tamang Heritage Trek will be reduced by regular physical activity. Trekking can be quite unpleasant if you have aching muscles, blisters, joint problems, or back issues. So, you should exercise beforehand. Begin working out at least one month before the adventure. Jogging, cycling, swimming, long walks, and running are all cardiovascular activities. Carry a small backpack so that you get used to it.

Amazing Family Adventure in Nepal

In October 2015 I went to Nepal for the second time. This time I decided to take my family along, because my previous experience with Sappa and his team was so great, that I had no worries about taking my children to Himalayas. We spent almost 4 wonderful weeks of travelling, hiking and gaining cultural experience. My children loved Nepal, learned a lot about this wonderful country. I can highly recommend a family trip to everybody who is at least a bit fit and open-minded, it is a lifelong experience! We are all definitely coming back.
