Went on 2 Everest base camp trek and 1 Annapurna base camp trek with Sappa and my guide Pawang. The tour are well organised and also flexible to allow for changes to be made during the trek. Trekking in Nepal has been in our bucket list for sometime and finally we decided to go for it. Highly recommended Nepal base camp treks.

Im Oktober 2018 habe ich mit einer Freundin Nepal besucht. Über Sappa haben wir ein unvergessliches 6-tägiges Trekking über Gorephani in der Annapurna-Region gebucht. Die Trekking-Tour und Etappen wurden nach unseren Wünschen zusammengestellt sowie alle Angelegenheiten die Registrierung in der Annapurna-Region und den Transfer vom Hotel in Pokhara betreffend von Sappa und seinem Team erledigt. Auf der Trekking-Tour begleitete uns ein hochprofessionelles und zuvorkommendes Team (Bergführer Shyam und Träger Aita). Shyam informierte uns immer genau über den Verlauf der Trekkingetappen sowie die Region, Berg- / Pflanzenwelt und Dorfbewohner etc..

Die Lodges/Zimmer und Verpflegung entsprachen, besonders im Vergleich zu Gruppenreisen von deutschen Anbietern einem gehobenen Standard. Wir hatten in den Teahouses z.B. fast immer ein eigenes Bad mit Dusche und WC und Granatapfel zum Nachtisch J. Abschließend wurden wir zu einem traditionellen Dal Bhat Essen und einem farewell dinner eingeladen.

Neben der beeindruckenden Trekking-tour organisierte uns Sappa einen Guide für eine Tageswanderung von Nargakot bis Changu Narayan. Für die Besichtigung des Kathmanduvalleys (Bhaktapur, Dhulikel, Panauti, Patan, Nargakot (Sunrise)) stand uns ein Fahrer zur Verfügung, der uns zuverlässig über Stock und Stein zu allen gewünschten Dörfern und Zielen fuhr. Dieser brachte uns letztendlich noch mit Zwischenstopps in Mankamana, Gorkha und 1 Übernachtung im bezaubernden Bergdörfchen Bandipur bis nach Pokhara. Auch unseren unvergesslichen und unbedingt empfehlenswerten Mount – Everest – Rundflug mit Transfer vom Hotel haben wir über Sappa gebucht.

Ich bin sehr dankbar für die tolle Organisation und die Freundlichkeit von Sappa und seinem Team und kann diese ohne Einschränkungen wärmstens weiterempfehlen.

Amazing trip to Nepal! Best service, high professionalism and friendliness.

In October 2018, I visited Nepal with a friend. Over Sappa we booked an unforgettable 6-day trekking through Ghorepani in the Annapurna region. The trekking tour and stages were arranged according to our wishes and all matters concerning the registration in the Annapurna region and the transfer from the hotel in Pokhara regarding Sappa and his team were done. On the trekking tour we were accompanied by a highly professional and courteous team (mountain guide Shyam and porters Aita). Shyam always informed us exactly about the course of the trekking stages as well as the region, mountains / vegetation and villagers etc.

The lodges / rooms and catering corresponded to a high standard, especially in comparison to group travel from German providers. We had tea in the teahouses, for example. almost always a private bathroom with shower and toilet and pomegranate for dessert J. Finally, we were invited to a traditional Dal Bhat food and a farewell dinner.

In addition to the impressive trekking tour, Sappa organized a guide for a day hike from Nargakot to Changu Narayan. For the visit of the Kathmanduvalleys (Bhaktapur, Dhulikel, Panauti, Patan, Nargakot (Sunrise)) a driver was available, who reliably drove us over hill and dale to all desired villages and destinations. This brought us finally with stops in Mankamana, Gorkha and 1 night in the charming mountain village Bandipur to Pokhara. We also booked our unforgettable and absolutely recommendable Mount Everest sightseeing flight with transfer from the hotel via Sappa.

I am John from England and I stumbled across the Nepal Base Camp Treks Pvt.Ltd while surfing on the internet for my Everest Base Camp Trek. With so many tour agencies to choose in Kathmandu, It was quite hard to spoil for choice- but finally decided to go with Nepal Base Camp Team because they simply stood out excellent reviews and a 100% customer care satisfaction. To me and my team, that was very impressive and I and my team do not regret our decision. They employ the best guides and porters in the mountain. I and my team did the Everest Base Camp Trek (5364m/17,594fts) accompanied by my guide Pawan Tamang, who made sure that our team had a wonderful lifetime experience in Himalaya. A polite person and very knowledgeable about the Sherpa culture and Tibetan Buddhism, Pawan has the maturity to take the responsibility of his customers in the mountains. from Luka to Lukla throughout my trek, Mr.Pawan was in the front and my Porter Temba at the back. They are always made us sure never slipped or took a wrong step and informed us to stay mountain sidewalk all the time. They ask you to enjoy the freedom you want in the mountains, taking as many rests and catch photo stops as you want. Pawan took to take care of me and my team Joana in every lodge, bringing us a hot bowl of water in the mornings so that I and my team could wash our faces and teeth. Believe me, it is very cold up there above 4000m that without hot water I would be feeling pretty hard throughout the day! These acts of care and concern that really made our trek wonderful and amazing.

Overall, we all team can vouch for one-step-ahead for Nepal Base Camp Treks and their mountain guides and porters. in my opinion, their customer focus makes them stand apart. Even when things go wrong, like bad weather or flight delays, or your sickness, they never complain and put the first priority on their customers first. It was the best care that we were shown that have won our heart over by the company. It was such a memorable treat to be with them and to experience the beautiful Himalayas with a helpful and cheerful mountain guide who made sure that we were all right at each and every step on the way. After reading so many online reviews on different trekking companies.We contacted Sappa Lama (Manging Director) for inquiring about a trekking the Annapurna Base Camp. This was our second visit to Nepal.

We are age of 56 and 58 from Germany and without the help of guide and porter impossible to complete this adventure trip.My First Trek to Nepal was in April, 2002 with a different agency at Thamel.

After receiving several queries and descriptions of about the trek we focused on Nepal Base Camp Treks. I had done a research on where to stay in Kathmandu and when I asked Sappa Lama where he recommended he suggested Hotel Taleju Boutique. The place was nice, i was interested in.

His airport representative met us at the arrival gate of airport with our name list and private vehicle to transfer us the hotel. Sappa and porter Suraj were great to travel with. They took care of all the tedious details so that we could enjoy holiday in Nepal. It was a fabulous journey in my life and we are planning to come back next year to trek with Sappa.

Annapurna Trekking.I and my wife Maria took 18days Annapurna Circuit Thorong la (5416meter high) pass start from Jagat around 11 hours bus and jeep drive from Kathmandu.We check the online price on several agencies and found Nepal Base Camp Treks,Sappa Lama and his team Sherpa Sujan found very helpful to make arrangement in this amazing country.

We meet Sappa first time in arrival gate of Kathmandu airport with our name card and transfer to hotel International Guest House for overnight .sometime very hard to trust people on online booking but we decided to take risk and thank god we found the right person and right company to trek with us.

Every day we enjoy our walk from Jagat to Jomson,Sappa describe us everything we wank to know about the Nepalese culture history and political situation and trying our best stay during along the trek.check our physical condition and ask every day was excellent and knowledgeable guidance.

We have done wonderful trekking to ABC last April 2016 with Sappa’s team. We were a team of four from Brazil. We took an 11-day trekking trip with Sappa and a porter in the Langtang and Helambu region in Mai 2011. We entered Langtang valley at Syabrubesi, trekked up to Kyanjin Gompa and continued to Helambu via Gosaikunda lake and the Lauribina La pass. The trek was wonderful. It leads through different vegetation zones with rich an colourful flora and fauna and amazing Himalaya mountain views. It also offered a deep insight into the Tamang culture and the customs, life and tradditions of Nepalese, Tibetan and Tamang people. Sappa is a very experienced guide who knows the region very well. He did a great job at scheduling the daily treks and adapting the length and speed of trekking to our personal needs and desires. In particular, he was a good consultant regarding any issues of altitude sickness. Sappa handled all issues with the lodges, local government officials, bus and taxi drivers with great care. He answered all our questions regarding names of mountain tops, nature and other details of the area with great excitment. It was a pleasure to listen to Sappa’s anecdotes on life, religion, politics and nature of Nepal and Nepalese people. Sappa’s story-telling and humour has made the trek an unforgettable experience. Last year it was my first trip to Asia. I had always dreamt about hiking in Himalayas. I was a bit worried as I turned fifty and had no experience with high altitudes. I trekked with Sappa to EBC in 2007. We were introduced to him by three groups of friends who had each trekked with him before on the others’ recommendation. They were not wrong. Sappa é o cara. Visitei o Nepal em duas ocasiões. Na primeira ele foi meu guia no circuito Annapurna, onde caminhamos por 21 dias. Na segunda ele nos guiou nos treks Langtang, Gosainkunda e Helambu por 17 dias. Alem disso, ele foi nosso guia no trek Cheppang Hills. Como se não bastasse, fizemos também o clássico Base Camp Everest partindo de Jiri e passando por Renjo La e Cho La, em 24 dias com o seu irmão Lako. O Nepal é um pais maravilhoso e a companhia de um guia como Sappa fez toda a diferença, pois ele nos explicou muito sobre a cultura local, religião, situação política/conflitos no pais e como funciona a sociedade no Nepal em geral. Ele fala muito bem inglês, é muito bem humorado e as risadas estão garantidas. Pra resumir, você começa a trilha com um guia e termina com um amigo. Recomendo-o sem hesitar. German Language: Wir haben mit Sappa und einem Träger im Mai 2011 eine elftägige Trekking Tour durch die Langtang und Helambu Region gemacht. Wir sind das Langtang Tal von Syrabrubesi bis Kanjin Gompa hoch gewandert und dann über die Gosainkunde Seen, den Laurebina Pass und die Helambu Region nach Kathmandu zurückgekehrt. Der Trek war einfach wundervoll! Er führt durch verschiedene Vegetationszonen mit reicher Flora und Fauna und überwältigenden Aussichten auf die Gipfel des Himalaya. Darüber hinaus bot der Trek einen tiefen Einblick die die Tamang Kultur und das Leben und die Tradition der nepalesischen und tibetanischen Bevölkerung.

Sappa ist ein sehr erfahrener Führer, der die Gegend sehr gut kennt. Er verstand es perfekt, die Länge der täglichen Etappen und die Trekkinggeschwindigkeit auf unsere Wünsche und Bedürfnisse anzupassen und war insbesondere ein guter Ratgeber bei Fragen zur Höhenkrankheit. Sappa hat sich um alle Angelegenheiten mit den Lodges, den örtlichen Behörden, den Taxi- und Busfahrern etc. gekümmert. In October 2014, 2015 I completed another wonderful family trek in Nepal to Langtang and Gosainkund lakes thanks to Sappa and his company “Nepal Base Camp Treks”. I first met Sappa in 2008 on a family Gokyo Lakes Trek and EBC Trek. At that time, I was greatly impressed by the highly professional approach he took to mountain guiding. I’m very happy to report that in 2014 nothing has changed. Sappa continues to maintain an exceptionally high standard of service and this together with his warm, generous and engaging personality ensured everyone in our party had an amazing time during their visit to Nepal.

We were treated to fantastic traditional Nepalese food and cultural performances at welcoming and farewell dinners in Kathmandu; expertly and safely guided over 14 days of trekking through an incredibly beautiful landscape; and provided with detailed and knowledgeable commentary during our tours of all the main sites around Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Patan. I’m very happy to report that the organisation of our transport, sightseeing, accommodation and trekking arrangements was first rate and that over three weeks everything ran very smoothly indeed. Overall, Sappa‘s vast guiding experience and mountain knowledge ensured that our itinerary was structured in such a way that it provided us with a good deal of flexibility and ample time to absorb the magnificent mountain views while trekking, as well as not being rushed on our tours of Kathmandu and surrounds.

On this trip, a few in our party were first time trekkers. What a fantastic introduction to trekking in the Nepal Himalaya they received thanks to the great care and attention to every little detail provided by Sappa and his fabulous support crew Manoj, Shankar and Suraj. Thank you Sappa,for also keeping up the tradition of supplying us with bananas and chocolate bars. I must also mention that the pomegranate seeds the crew provided to us on our way to Langtang was an unexpected but greatly appreciated treat. Importantly, from a safety aspect, we were more than pleased to find that Nepal Base Camp Treks used modern four wheel drive vehicles to take us to the start of our trek in Syabrubesi and also for the return journey from Dhunche. We were also very impressed to observe that Sappa and his company take very good care of their support crews.
