Suraj Lama, also known by his community name Gomja (Tamang), is one of the most dedicated and passionate trekking guides in our team. With over five years of practical experience in Nepal’s vibrant trekking industry, Suraj has become a trusted figure among both travelers and fellow guides. While he officially obtained his trekking guide license two years ago, his involvement in the adventure tourism sector began in 2016, when he started his journey as a porter. Through years of hard work, resilience, and a deep-rooted love for the mountains, he gradually rose through the ranks to become a fully licensed guide.

Suraj has led countless trekking groups through some of Nepal’s most iconic and challenging trails, including the Everest Base Camp, Annapurna Circuit, the stunning Langtang Valley, and the culturally rich and restricted Manaslu region. His comprehensive field knowledge, clear communication, and thoughtful leadership make him an asset to every expedition he joins.

Fluent in English, Nepali, and his native Tamang language, Suraj is known for his approachable demeanor, cultural insight, and unwavering focus on safety and client satisfaction.
