Mera Peak Region Map and Trail Overview
Mera Peak lies in the remote Hinku Valley of the Everest region, east of the main Khumbu trail. The adventure typically begins with a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, followed by a gradual ascent through lush forests, traditional Sherpa villages, and quiet alpine meadows. Unlike the crowded Everest Base Camp trail, the route to Mera offers a more serene experience, passing through Paiya, Panggom, and Khare before reaching the glacier and high camp.
A detailed map of the Mera Peak route highlights key stopovers, altitude gains, and terrain changes. From lowland rhododendron forests to icy glacier crossings, understanding the route helps trekkers plan their pace and acclimatization effectively. By following the mapped trail, climbers can manage their energy, reduce the risk of altitude sickness, and make the journey safer and more enjoyable all the way to the summit.
